Great Fire of London Day!

Today we have been problem solving with Tudor houses and imagining we are Thomas Farrynor's bakers, baking for the King. We enjoyed making - and tasting- the jumble biscuits.  We have also been city designers, creating our own perfect cities. More pictures coming soon!

A mysterious box!

Let's say Andy the builder and his team were working in London, in Axe street, when they found a strange box. Let's say they were digging some footings for a shed in the garden of a house that been demolished. They didn't know what to do with the box,so asked us to investigate.

We had a bit of a dilemma as some children thought the box should be opened, but others didn't. Some thought there might be precious, special things inside, so we shouldn't touch them. Others thought we should open it, to see if there were special things inside. We had to make a decision, so we had a decision alley.

Lots of ideas were shared with reasons why the box should or shouldn't be opened.

In the end, most of us decided to open the box...

But we decided that we should protect ourselves and the contents by wearing special gloves.

Ask us at home to tell you about what we found inside the box!

We have had to do some BIG thinking today!

Super history investigators

We have been wondering lots of things about Samuel Pepys. We used the computers and iPads to find out the answers to some of our questions.
